Anaphylaxis

Definition: A severe, life-threatening allergic reaction that can cause hives, swelling, and breathing difficulty within minutes.

Parent Tip: Carry an EpiPen if prescribed and practice with a trainer; teach caregivers to recognize symptoms.

Why It Matters: Fast epinephrine saves lives and prevents worsening of symptoms.
