Every class is taught by Jeremy Manke, a PA-certified paramedic and firefighter with over 20 years of emergency response experience.

Why Pittsburgh Families and Businesses Choose The Life Safety Pro

There are a lot of CPR certification options in Pittsburgh. Here is what makes ours different.

You are not learning from a video or an automated system. You are learning from a working paramedic and firefighter who responds to real emergencies in the Pittsburgh area. The techniques I teach are the same ones I use in the field. When I show you how to perform CPR on an infant, it is because I have done it. When I explain what a choking emergency looks like in a toddler, it is because I have been on those calls.

That real-world experience changes how the training feels — and how well it sticks when you need it.

Frequently Asked Questions — CPR Training Pittsburgh

How long does a CPR class take in Pittsburgh? Most classes run approximately 2 hours. Pediatric CPR and First Aid classes may run slightly longer depending on group size and questions. In-home private sessions are flexible based on the modules you  select. Newborn Safety Training is conducted in your home at a flat family rate and timing is flexible based on your family's needs.

Does the Newborn Safety Training include certification? The Newborn Safety Training is a family-focused educational session rather than a certification course. It is designed to give new parents and caregivers the confidence and skills to handle infant emergencies — not to meet workplace certification requirements. If you need AHA and HSI certification for professional or compliance purposes, our Pediatric CPR and First Aid class is the right choice.

What certification do I receive? All classes include AHA and HSI 2-year certification upon completion. This certification is recognized nationally and meets Pennsylvania state requirements for healthcare providers, childcare workers, and most workplace compliance needs.

Is your Pediatric CPR class PQAS approved? Yes. Our Pediatric CPR and First Aid class meets Pennsylvania State requirements and is approved for PA Keys credit — making it the right choice for licensed daycare providers and childcare professionals in Pennsylvania who need PQAS-compliant certification.

Do you offer group rates for businesses and daycares? Yes. Group discounts are available for businesses, schools, daycare centers, and organizations. Contact us to discuss your group size and scheduling needs.

Where do classes take place? We come to you. All classes are conducted on-site at your location — your home, your business, your school, or your facility. We bring all equipment and mannequins. No need to travel to a training center.

How do I book a CPR class in Pittsburgh? Contact us through our booking page and we will get back to you promptly to confirm your date, location, and class type. Evening and weekend availability included.

Can I get CPR training at my home in Pittsburgh? Yes — our In-Home Training option is designed specifically for this. We bring everything to your door. Ideal for new parents, grandparents, babysitters, and family groups. Available evenings and weekends with a 3-person minimum.

Do you train outside of Pittsburgh? Yes. We serve the greater Pittsburgh area including Allegheny, Butler, Beaver, Washington, and Westmoreland Counties. Contact us to confirm availability for your location.

Is CPR training HSA or FSA eligible? CPR training may be eligible as a medical expense under some HSA and FSA plans. Check with your plan administrator to confirm eligibility under your specific plan.
